So I guess there is more to life than sailing...

So, Just after the Tiller Debacle,  I had to go out of town, well out of state really, for a couple of weeks.  It was for work, but I was able to connect some leave to it which had allowed me to do something I haven't been able to do for a couple of years... spend time with my Boys! One lives in North Carolina with his wife and daughter (Coincidentally he is stationed at Ft. Bragg, the very place I had been sent to do some work)
, and one lives in Virginia... Neither of them close to me. Oh well, life is what it is.

My Son, Jason!
First , after my  Work week at Ft. Bragg, I was off to Virginia to visit my youngest son, Jason. We had a great time getting caught up on all that has gone on since we had seen each other last. we spent hours at dinner talking about just about everything under the sun.

We went to see Iron Man 3 that had just been released. not a bad film... personally I think it was the best of the three.

And then we spent a bit of Male bonding doing what My son likes to do best... Work on cars! Specifically, we spent some time working on putting his brother's engine together... It is funny how we have come full circle... it used to be that when we worked on cars, he would be helping me, and now it was the complete opposite... kind of weird actually.
My Motor Genius Son, torquing some bolts
on the crankshaft.... I think....

So if this Thingy doesn't fit, I can just pound it in with a hammer.... right?

Uhh... seriously, what can I do?

Motor heads.... Pistons in hand...

Look! it actually looks like an engine!  Now what?

Somehow.... he got taller than me!  This isn't right!

My Son, Justin

My oldest son, Justin returned from being overseas this week. It was perfect timing that I could be there for his return. I got to spend a lot of time with him, My daughter in law and my granddaughter. my granddaughter did her best to wear me out, and I must say she did a pretty good job. It was soooooo good to have some time to spend with all of them.  Brielle is really smart... she knew how to work my cell phone with no help from me.... take a look at this video where she turns off the recording without even asking a question as to how!

We went out to eat a couple of times, and did some fun things like Bowling! Brielle is a fearless bowler for a four year old. we also spent some time walking around Home Depot and Lowes, discussing all the things that they want to do with their new house. and boy, do they have a list of things they want to do! We all had a great time. I hope to visit them in Colorado after they get settled in.
Brielle, Justin and Me!
Isn't this a great Pic?

Brielle Picking flowers before going to school

These flowers are for YOU Daddy!

Off to school! Is that my SON seeing her off?
God, I am old!

Brielle's Artwork.... fantastic for a 4 year old, eh?

All four of us at dinner... Good Times!

If Brielle seems nervous here, it is because she is getting her
picture taken with some guy she JUST met, and says he is
her daddy's  daddy!  NO WAY!
